Funeral services for Mrs. Hardy (Ada) Thompson, 67, of 2007 W. Humboldt were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, at Peoria Davison Funeral Home with Rev. Harry Newcomb officiating. Burial was in Lutheran Cemetery.
Mrs. Thompson died at 9:45 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, 1975, at Methodist Hospital where she was admitted Dec. 28.
Prior to her retirement in 1972, she had been employed at Hiram Walker & Sons Inc. for 28 years.
Born at Beaumont, Ky., April 26, 1907, she was a daughter of Charles and Lucinda Robinson. She married Mr. Thompson in August, 1952.
She was a member of Metropolitan Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband; two sons, Lawrence White of Morton and Frederick White of Sunnyland; one daughter, Mrs. Ross (Ethel) Johnston of East Peoria; 24 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She also leaves one stepson, James Thompson of Pekin; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Evelyn Coil and Mrs. Eva Curless, both of Browning, and Mrs. Alice Herzog of Huntington Beach, Calif.; and two brothers, Avery Robinson of Dunlap and Lawrence Robinson of East Peoria.
Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by one son, two brothers and one grandson.
