Floyd T. O’Malley, 67, well-known farmer in the Ipava area and a lifetime resident, died Monday night at his home, after an illness of several months.
Mr. O’Malley was a member of the Democratic Central Committee, Pleasant Township Cemetery Board, vice president of the Fulton County Fair Board, and past president of the Spoon River Electric Coop.
He was born May 16, 1898, in Isabel Township, the son of Michael and Fannie Moore O’Malley. He was married to Ila Weese on Dec. 17, 1925. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Katherine Williams of Ipava and Miss Sarah O’Malley, also of Ipava; three grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Grace Holt of Kankakee. One brother preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava, with Rev. W. R. Giffin officiating. Burial will be in the Ipava Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Memorial Home Wednesday afternoon and evening.
