Mike O’Malley, Ipava, Dies At Home Saturday

Michael O’Malley died Saturday at his home three miles east of Ipava, following an illness of more than a year. He was a retired farmer.

Born Aug. 26, 1873, in Cranton, Pa., he was the last survivor of seven children born to Peter and Julia (McNalley) O’Malley. He was married on June 3, 1897, to Fannie Moore, who survives, in addition to two sons, Floyd O’Malley of Ipava, and John O’Malley of Lewistown, and a daughter, Mrs. Grace Holt of Kankakee, four granddaughters and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the Shawgo Memorial Home, conducted by Rev. Edgar W. Mills. Burial in Ipava cemetery.
