Betty EtterBetty Lou Etter, 92, of Rushville died Jan. 31, 2026, at Rushville Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born Dec. 24, 1933, in Frederick, a daughter of the late Clarence and Gladys Morris Billingsley. She married William D. Etter on Feb. 5, 1955, in Rushville. He preceded her in death on May 29, 2024.

She also was preceded in death by eight brothers, Clarence, Rudolph, Robert, Lester, Harold, Morris, Donald and Wayne Billingsley; three sisters, Lucille Finch, Rosalie Morrell and Barbara Butler Taylor; and one nephew, Scott Leverton.

Surviving are three daughters, Dianna Eifert, Debra Phillips (and Danny) and Cindy McClelland (and Max), all of Rushville; eight grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was a Legionnaire, and a member of the Sheriff Association. She was born into farming and farmed for 57 years with her husband.

Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, Feb. 7, at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Fred Fritz officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service on Saturday. Burial will be held later at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield.
