Mrs. Nancy E. Clanin, 96, a life-time resident of the Ipava area, died at 8 p.m. Saturday at her home in Ipava. She had been in failing health for several years.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Ipava Presbyterian Church. Burial was in Ipava Cemetery. The Rev. W. R. Giffin conducted the services.
Mrs. Clanin was born Jan. 29, 1869, near Ipava, a daughter of Thomas and Mary Cattron Bohannon. She was married to Leroy Clanin on Feb. 18, 1890. He died Sept. 16, 1950.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Jessie Fayhee and Mrs. Ethel Walters, both of Ipava, and Mrs. Maurine Fayhee of Prairie City; a son, Clare Clanin of Astoria; six grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-great-grandchild; three sisters, Mrs. Martha Fleming and Mrs. Mary Moore, both of Ipava, and Mrs. Mae Larson of Grand View, Iowa; and two brothers, Thomas Bohannon of Lewistown and Bryan Bohannon of Westfield, N. J.
A sister and six brothers died previously.
