Glenn O. Belville, 78, of Browning died at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, 1975, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
He was born Nov. 19, 1897, in Schuyler County, a son of John and Rebecca Wright Belville. On May 19, 1921, he married Elva Newell in Rushville. She died Jan. 17, 1972.
Survivors include seven children, Mrs. Carl (Iola) Stoneking, Mrs. Donna Simpson, and George Belville, of Beardstown, Mrs. Edward (Bonnie) Hill and Robert Belville of Astoria, Mrs. Stanley (Betty) Briney of Browning, and Jerry Belville of Farmington; 22 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Hallie Belville of Beardstown; and three sisters, Mrs. Twila Kiser of Beardstown, Mrs. Lucille Daniels of Rushville and Mrs. Marie Humphrey of Bader.
He was preceded in death by two sons, one daughter, one brother and two sisters.
Funeral services were held at the Browning Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Friday afternoon with Collis Trone officiating. Burial was in the Browning Cemetery.
