Ellen M. Murphy-Falsetti Waughtel, 75, of Cuba died at 5:51 p.m. Jan. 15, 2021, at Beaufort Memorial Hospital in Beaufort, S.C.
She was born Sept. 18, 1945, in Cuba, the daughter of Charles C. and Emma Cline Mowery Murphy. She first married Gary J. Falsetti. She later married Clayton L. Waughtel Jr. on Feb. 15, 1997. He preceded her in death on Aug. 30, 2020.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Charles B. Murphy.
Surviving are three children, Jo Ellen Anderson of Beaufort, S.C., Jennifer (and Brian) McMillan of McDonough, Ga., and Jason Falsetti of Havana; four stepchildren, Monte (and Jeri) Waughtel, Jay (and Robbie Ball) Waughtel, John (and Susie Morgan) Waughtel and Valerie (and Kevin) Waughtel-White, all of Cuba; one brother, Milton A. (and Linda) Murphy of Cuba; 16 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren.
She was a 1963 graduate of Cuba High School, who went on to attend Adrian College in Adrian, Mich.
She was a member of Cuba United Methodist Church, where she served on the Women’s Aux. She also was a distinguished sister of PEO Chapter CB Cuba, IL.
Cremation will be arranged by Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Cuba and Copeland Funeral Home in Beaufort, S.C. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
