Orley B. Walters, 74, of Astoria, died at 2:57 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, 1985, in Culbertson Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness.
He was born July 11, 1911, at Astoria, a son of Soloman and Minnie Danner Walters. He was married to Martha M. Cable on Jan. 11, 1936, at Astoria. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Eldon (Mary Lou) Scrogum of Springfield; and one brother, Russell Walters of Astoria.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was owner and operator of Walters Shell Service in Astoria for more than 35 years. He was also an agent for Franklin Life Insurance Company for 47 years.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. Bruce W. Bolin-Ghitalla officiating. Burial was in the Astoria Cemetery.
