Mrs. Dorothy L. Wise, 72, 234 W. Main, Amboy, formerly of Astoria, died Monday, June 10, 1985, at her home.
Mrs. Wise was born Oct. 9, 1912 in Amboy, a daughter of Ernest and Sadie (Phillips) Miller. She married Charles Wise Jan. 30, 1937. He preceded her in death on Nov. 7, 1974.
Prior to her retirement, she had been a beauty operator.
Surviving are two brothers, Ernest Miller of Kansas City, Mo. and Albert Miller of Mendota; and two sisters, Mrs. Goldie House of Amboy and Mrs. George (Christelle) Frost of Mendota.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 12, at 10:30 a.m. at Schwarz Funeral Home in Amboy with Rev. Max Kemling officiating. Burial was in the Astoria Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice in her honor.
