She was born Oct. 8, 1938, the daughter of Ralph and Marion Cooper Thompson.
Surviving are one daughter, Amanda Vancil; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Becky Gossage; one son, Robert Vancil; and one brother, Ralph Thompson Jr.
She graduated from Rushville High School in 1956. She worked for Bohn Aluminum in Beardstown and retired from Morton Metal Craft in Morton.
Graveside services were held Tuesday at Rushville City Cemetery with Brother Matt Haberman officiating. Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville was in charge of arrangements.
