Donnie J. Teel, 51, of Reynolds, died Friday, Oct. 4, 1985, in Lutheran Hospital at Moline.
He was born July 31, 1934 at Industry, a son of Samuel L. and Edith Coker Teel. He married Sylvia Goins May 12, 1956 in Macomb.
She survives along with three daughters, Donna, at home, Mrs. Kevin (Cindy) Sharer and Mrs. Jeff (Peggy) Ballard, both of Little York; a son, Keith, at home; two grandchildren; two sisters, Lola Coplan of Macomb and Luan Kendrick of Table Grove; and seven brothers, Sam of Hartwell, Ga., Meredith and Francis, both of Milan, Jerry and Jack, both of Industry, Larry of Colchester and Scott of Macomb.
He was educated in the Industry schools and was an assembler for 25 years at International Harvester in Rock Island. He was a member of UAW Local 1304 and an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in Jinks Funeral Home in Reynolds with Rev. Caroline Hutchinson and Rev. Charles Whittinghill officiating. Burial was in Reynolds Cemetery with military rites conducted by the American Legion of Reynolds.
Memorials may be made to Pathway Hospice Center, Moline.
