Mrs. Betty Lou Thomas, 57, of Astoria died at 2:28 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 1985, in Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.
She was born June 22, 1927, in McDonough County, a daughter of Henry D. and Myrl LeMasters Orwig. She married Tommy D. Thomas on Dec. 23, 1946, in Peoria. He survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Neil (Christina) Morris of Browning; seven sons, Norman Thomas of Marquette Heights, Steven Thomas and Dean Thomas, both of Beardstown, Stanley Thomas of New Castle, Ind., Michael Thomas and Phillip Thomas, both of Astoria, and David Thomas of Vermont; 13 grandchildren; one brother, Dwayne Orwig of Browder, Ky.; and two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Rita) Hamm and Mrs. Loyd (Linda) McCombs, both of Astoria. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Collis Trone officiating. Burial was in Woodland Cemetery.
