Lloyd R. Taylor, 77, of Ipava, formerly of the Astoria area, died at 11:35 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, 1985, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.
He was born Sept. 13, 1907, in Woodstock Township, Schuyler County, a son of Guy E. and Bessie Pearl (Covey) Taylor. He married Vanetta Guilliams in Schuyler County on Feb. 20, 1935. She preceded him in death on Nov. 9, 1954.
Mr. Taylor had retired as a machine operator from International Harvester in Canton. He was a member of the Moose Lodge No. 506 in Rushville.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Bessie Burgett of Havana; three sons, Dennis, Franklin and Raymond Taylor, all of rural Rushville; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one brother Lawrence Taylor of Sterling.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Mary and Charlotte, and two infant sons.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. this afternoon at Roby Funeral Chapel in Rushville with Rev. Marvin Chockley officiating. Burial will be in Union Chapel Cemetery north of Astoria.
