Cheryl M. Schellhammer, 65, of Table Grove died at 6:22 p.m. Aug. 13, 2026, at her son Matt’s home in Ipava.Cheryl M. Schellhammer, 65, of Table Grove died at 6:22 p.m. Aug. 13, 2026, at her son Matt’s home in Ipava.
She was born Aug. 8, 1961, in La Grange, a daughter of Donald and Nanci Matthews Lucas. She married Bruce Schellhammer on April 5, 1986, in Palos Hills. He survives.
Also surviving are one son, Matt Schellhammer of Ipava; her mother, Nanci Lucas of Homer Glen; one brother, James Lucas of Lockport; three nieces, Jamie Brozek of Herscher, Kayla Rowan of Lansing, Iowa, and Carol Smith of Waukon, Iowa; and one nephew; Bo Schellhammer of Minneapolis, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald; and one sister, Donna Brozek.
She graduated from Illinois Central College as a Registered Nurse. As an RN, she worked at McDonough District Hospital. She most recently was a CNA Instructor at Spoon River College.
Cremation rites have been accorded. No services have been planned at this time.
