She was born Jan. 31, 1941, in Avon, the daughter of Dwight and Mildred Purman Bucy. She married Jerry Schisler on July 5, 1959, in Havana. He preceded her in death on June 10, 2011.
Surviving are two sons, Rick (and Bridget) Schisler of Charleston, Ind., and Rodney (and Michelle) Schisler of Maysville, Ky.; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one nephew, Tim Schisler; and care givers, Deb Park, Bev Taylor and Kami Mains.
She worked for Home Interior Sales, hosting Home Shows for 19 years.
She was a member of the Astoria United Methodist Church where she played the organ and was the Sunday School coordinator and teacher for 25 years. She was also a member of the Astoria Order of the Eastern Star.
Services were held Tuesday, March 31, at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with John Bybee officiating. Burial was in the Astoria Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Astoria Fire and Rescue Department, Fulton County Humane Society or the Astoria United Methodist Church.
