John Steven Schauble, 73, of Macomb died Nov. 27, 2018, in rural McDonough County.
He was born Jan. 8, 1945, in Macomb, a son of Joseph and Emilie Burger Schauble.
Surviving are three children, Amy Schauble of Leavenworth, Kan., Jeannette Schauble of Manito and Danny Schauble of Michigan; six siblings, Herman Schauble of Paoli, Pa., Francis (and Karen) Schauble of Yates City, Paul Schauble of Kewanee, Mary (and Rick) Caruso of Stow, Ohio, his twin brother James (and Jonelle) Schauble of Macomb and David (and Peggy) Schauble of Tennessee, Ill.
He retired from Caterpillar in East Peoria after 40 years. He was a Vietnam Army veteran from 1966-67. He was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Macomb, the UAW Local 974 and the Bushnell VFW.
Cremation was accorded. A memorial service was held Saturday at the Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Father Adam Stimpson officiating. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown with military services conducted by the Lewistown VFW Post 5001 and the Lewistown American Legion Bishop Post 1.
