Violet Swift, 82, of Table Grove, died at 8:05 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, 1998, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.
She was born April 29, 1916, in Omaha, Ill., a daughter of Archie Lee and Josephine McCain Young. She married Floyd G. Swift on Jan. 31, 1939, in Canton, Mo. He died Dec. 15, 1980. She was also preceded in death by one sister and an infant brother.
Surviving are one sister, Jolean Kennedy of Beardstown.
She was a homemaker.
Graveside services were held Tuesday at the Ipava Cemetery with Collis Trone officiating. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
