Homer Nelson “Sandy” Stambaugh, 86, of Browning, died at 2:05 p.m. Thursday, July 4, 1985, in Myers Nursing Home, Beardstown.
He was born March 6, 1899, in Hickory Township, Schuyler County, the son of Austin and Dollie (Camp) Stambaugh. He married Naomi Kelly June 30, 1923. She survives.
Other survivors include one son, John N. Stambaugh of Browning; and three grandsons.
One grandson and three sisters preceded him in death.
He was an auto mechanic and had operated a garage in Browning for 60 years.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Burial was in Browning Cemetery.
