Fred Sullivan, 83, a retired farmer from Vermont, died at 3:14 a.m. Sunday at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. D. Arnold Naff officiating. Burial will be in the Astoria Cemetery.
He was born June 17, 1886, near Astoria to John and Rachel Sears Sullivan. On Sept. 28, 1910, he married Stella M. Pennington at Galesburg. She died Jan. 15, 1959.
He is survived by one brother, Thomas W. Sullivan, of Abingdon, formerly of Astoria.
Preceding him in death were four brothers and three sisters.
