Wayne Royer, 61, of Macomb, entered the Church Triumphant on May 14, 2025.
He was born Sept. 3, 1963, in Pekin, a son of Gordon and Betty Royer. He married Nancy Merose on May 28, 1988. She survives.
Also surviving are two sisters, Linda and Penny; and one brother, Rob.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Betty.
He grew up in Havana and Astoria where he went through school. He is a baptized child of God and a confirmed member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.
He was a parishioner of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Student Center in Macomb for over 30 years.
He was known for his musical abilities, playing hand-bells and guitar at his home church of Immanuel Lutheran, and at Victory Baptist in Macomb.
He always volunteered by mowing the yards at Immanuel Lutheran and was there whenever needed to lend a helping hand. He worked in Bushnell, and for the last 11 years of his earthly pilgrimage he worked for Bridgeway in Macomb.
Services were held Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Macomb. Burial was in Astoria.
