She was born to Herman and Ruth Poen on March 15, 1949, in Lake City, Iowa. The family later moved to Ipava. She spent the rest of her life in the Ipava and Table Grove area.
In 1967, she married her high school sweetheart, Jim Woods. They raised their sons, Jeff and Jerry, on their farm outside Ipava until Jim’s passing in 1986.
She married Bill Skien in 1990. They loved traveling with friends and family until Bill’s passing in 1998.
In 1999, she married Kenny Reynolds. They enjoyed many years together on their farm prior to her recent illness. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Jeff (and Tonya) Woods and Jerry Woods; one sister, Zelda Esselman (and Ron Moss); one brother, Rick Poen (and Beth); two grandchildren, Logan Woods and Cassidy Woods; and one nephew, Brandon Poen (and Renee).
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Jim and Bill; one grandson, Cooper Woods; and one niece, Michelle Esselman.
She spent her working years at Farm King, working in nearly every department in the store before transferring to the corporate office. She was a welcoming fixture in the Farm King corporation for four decades.
Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be private at a later date.
