Mrs. Hazel E. Ratcliff, 77, lifetime resident of this area died at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, 1975, in Culbertson Hospital in Rushville.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the United Methodist Church in Astoria. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be this afternoon and evening at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria.

Mrs. Hazel E. Ratcliff, 87, of Astoria, died at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, 1975, in the Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.
Mrs. Ratcliff was born Sept. 28, 1897, near Lewistown, a daughter of Joseph and Myrtle Wilcoxen Grigsby. She married Jessie Collins Oct. 29, 1914. He died Nov. 27, 1952. On Jan. 30, 1954, she married Grover Ratcliff. He preceded her in death on May 23, 1966.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Lela Ray and Mrs. Eileen Tippey, both of Astoria, and Mrs. Reta Rudd, Canton; sixteen grandchildren; one step-grandchild; two step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Eskridge, Lewistown, and Mrs. Katie Fidler, Peoria Heights; one half sister, Mrs. Jennie Payne; and a half brother, Arthur Grigsby of North Platte, Neb.
She was preceded in death by a son and two brothers.
Funeral services were held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the United Methodist Church with Rev. James Friesner and Collis Trone officiating. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
