RODNEY M. RHOADES

Former Vermont Resident Dies

Rodney M. Rhoades, 55, of Princeton, a former Vermont resident, died at 9:50 a.m. Thursday, May 15, 1975, at the Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton.

Mr. Rhoades was born on July 30, 1919, at Peoria, a son of Porter and Clara Kost Rhoades. He married Melba Heaton, who preceded him in death. He later married Naida Einsele on Dec. 31, 1969, at Princeton. She survives.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Princeton, the Masonic Lodge, AF and AM, 116, of Vermont, the Consistory, and the Shrine. He was also a past patron of the Wyanet Order of the Eastern Star.

In addition to his widow, Mr. Rhoades is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Ketra) Fordham of Manilus and Mrs. Ray (Rhonda) Lair of Hamburg, Iowa; one son, Lt. Gregory K. Rhoades of Pennsacola, Fla.; two stepchildren, Mrs. Roy (Raida) Yarrington of Princeton and Steven Essig of Oshkosh, Wis.; and one brother, Ronald of Tempe, Ariz.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Nurberg Funeral Home in Princeton with Rev. Fred N. Anderson officiating. Graveside services were held at 4 p.m. with Rev. E. L. Dunavin officiating at the Vermont Cemetery.
