John Brinton Ring, the infant son of James Elsworth and Sarah Harriet Ring was born on the 2nd day of October, 1910 and died Oct. 23, 1910. The little babe was only three weeks old at the time of its death. It was a beautiful little child and seemed to be strong and in excellent health but some unknown disease attacked it and its little body had to succumb. Once more the voice of lament is heard in the land. The parents have been bereft of their child and their hearts are sorrowful. The great Shepherd has taken another little one into the upper fold. The entire family have the sympathy of all friends.
The funeral services were held at the residence north of Astoria and the body was buried in the Union Chapel cemetery. The funeral was under the direction of Rev. C. M. Wilson.
