She was born Oct. 23, 1950, in Rushville, a daughter of the late Harley Parsano Jr. and Mildred Pauline Bowman. She married Richard “Rick” Prather on June 16, 1968, in Schuyler County. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Nick Prather (and Missy) of Springfield and Brett Prather of Beardstown; three sisters, Sharon Gossage, Sally Toland (and Jim) and Rissa Parsano; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Sue Trone.
Graveside services were held Monday, March 16, at Palm Cemetery in Rushville with Ms. Debbie Hester officiating. Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville was in charge of arrangements.
