Elizabeth J. Price, 78, of Boulder, Colo., formerly of Astoria, died at 10 p.m. Feb. 6, 2026, at Morning Star Assisted Living facility in Boulder.
She was born Nov. 18, 1947, in Colorado Springs, Colo., a daughter of Harvey and Kathryn Silsby Johnson. She married Rodney Price on Oct. 19, 1974, in Champaign. He preceded her in death.
Surviving are two children, Brian (and Jennifer) Price of Morton and Alison (and Steve) Gold of Boulder; one sister, Carol (and Don) Bolish of Oxnard, Calif.; one brother, Chuck (and Gigi) Johnson of Champaign; and four grandchildren, Jasa Price, Carson Price, Olivia Gold and Reese Gold.
She was a graduate of Western Illinois University, earning a Bachelors Degree in Education. She and Rod were third generation owners of Price Oil Company in Astoria for over 30 years. She also worked at Astoria High School for 10 years.
She was an active member in several area churches, with her most recent membership at Grace Church in Morton. She enjoyed helping with the Girl Scouts as a leader. She volunteered at the Astoria Public Library for several years.
A visitation will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, with a memorial service to follow at 2 p.m. Both will be held at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Ray Artrip officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Astoria Public Library or The Shelf Food Pantry in Astoria.
