Mary Parkinson Of Lewistown Dies

Miss Mary Parkinson, 85, of Rural Route 1, Lewistown, died at 2:06 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, 1985, at Graham Hospital, Canton.

She was born Feb. 8, 1900, in Lewistown Township, Fulton County, the daughter of Alfred and Alice (Whedon) Parkinson.

Survivors include a brother, Thomas Parkinson of Scottsdale, Ariz.; two nieces and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

She was a retired teacher and taught for 38 years in various schools in rural Lewistown. She was a member of the Lewistown United Methodist Church and National Retired Teachers Association.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Henry Memorial Home, Lewistown, with Rev. Tom Logsdon officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Lewistown Community High School Alumni Association Scholarship Fund.
