Harriett M. Pollitt, 80, of 122 W. McArthur, Lewistown, died at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 1985, in the Macomb Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born May 27, 1904, a daughter of Joseph and Mary Vail McCamant. She married James T. Pollitt on July 8, 1930, in Rushville. He died Jan. 15, 1983.
Surviving are two sons, James T. Pollitt Jr. of Astoria, and Gerald A. Pollitt of Macomb; one sister, Mrs. Gladys Beatty of Canton; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Ipava, Lewistown Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, Illinois Retired Teachers Association and the Fulton County Retired Teachers Association.
She was a teacher for 33 years in Lewistown and the Fulton County area.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home in Canton with Rev. Fred Meisenheimer officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery at Lewistown.
