Mrs. Inez Palmer Dies At Age 71

Mrs. Inez M. Palmer, 71, a lifelong Astoria resident, died at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, 1975, at the Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

Mrs. Palmer was born Aug. 25, 1904, near Astoria, the daughter of John S. and Hannah Sullivan Stambaugh. She married William Palmer on May 25, 1922, in Astoria. He died April 13, 1975.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Betty Lawver of Astoria; two sons, Russell of Renton, Wash., and Robert of Bardolph; one sister, Mrs. Rachel Stoops of Henderson; two brothers, Freeman of Astoria and Glenn of Adair; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, one half sister and five half brothers.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Assembly of God Church in Astoria with Rev. Donald Skiles and Rev. Earl Stambaugh officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery.
