Frank B. Orwig, 75, of 305 Iris Court, Canton, died at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 15, 1975, at the Nursing Center of Canton.
He was born on July 18, 1899, in Cass Township, a son of John and Frances Helle Orwig. He married Mary C. Myers on Jan. 20, 1927, in Fairview. She died on Feb. 11, 1969.
Surviving are three sons, Sheldon W., Robert L. and Gary A. Orwig, all of Canton; five grandchildren; a great-grandchild; two brothers, Milton Orwig of Smithfield, and Henry Orwig of Astoria; and two sisters, Mrs. Katie Herrick of Smithfield and Mrs. Martha Moore of Cuba. A son, three brothers and two sisters died earlier.
Mr. Orwig retired from Caterpillar Tractor Co. in 1966. He was a member of Locust Lane United Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon at Oaks Memorial Chapel with Rev. S. Jay Curry officiating. Burial was in the Wiley Cemetery.
