Edson C. Orsborn, 74, of Astoria, died at 10:20 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1974, at Schmitt Memorial Hospital in Beardstown.
He was born June 29, 1900, in Milton, a son of John and Edith Jones Orsborn. He married Olive Davis on June 8, 1935, in Rushville and she survives.
Also surviving are a son, Edson Orsborn Jr. of Astoria; his mother, Mrs. Edith Orsborn of Milton; and a brother, John Orsborn, also of Milton.
Mr. Orsborn was a retired Bell Telephone Co. employee; a member of National Rifle Association; Scottish Rite and Mohammed Temple Shire, both of Peoria; Astoria Lodge 100, AF & AM; and Astoria Duck Club.
Masonic rites were held at 8 p.m. Thursday evening at Kost Memorial Home in Vermont.
Private burial services were held at 10 a.m. Friday in Oak Grove Cemetery near Astoria.
