She was born Jan. 24, 1938, at Graham Hospital in Canton, the daughter of Lena Smart and Charles Sosey. She married Robert Gene Miller on May 12, 1957, in Cuba. He preceded her in death on March 22, 2020.
She also was preceded in death by one brother, Jim Sosey.
Surviving are one daughter, Debbie (and Dave) Berry of Cuba; two grandchildren, Kurt (and Sarah) Palm of Stafford, Va., and Kory (and Tabitha) Palm of Bushnell; and three great-grandchildren.
She attended Cuba High School, graduating in 1956. She was a member of the signing group “The Melodears” recording a record in 1960. She was a member of Brock United Methodist Church in Smithfield.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, in the Baughman Cemetery in Smithfield with Pastor Kevin Kessler officiating. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.
