Norman McMillenNorman L McMillen, 91, of Ray died at 5:28 a.m. Dec. 9, 2024, at Red Oak Estates in Canton.

He was born March 20, 1933, a son of Harry and Iva Stambaugh McMillen. He married Ruth Pigg on April 14, 1956, in Rushville. She preceded him in death on Oct. 2, 2013.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert McMillen and Bill McMillen.

Surviving are two daughters, Susan (and Everett) Easley and Jo Lynn (and Dave) Campbell, both of Astoria; one grandson, Chad (and Amanda) Easley of Canton; one granddaughter, Ashley (and Jason) Yazvec of Astoria; and two great-grandchildren, Jaylee and Jack Yazvec.

He was a farmer and raised cattle. He also worked at International Harvester and was a mail carrier during his lifetime.

He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Rushville American Legion.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Matthew Thiner officiating. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Schuyler County Humane Society.
