She was born June 7, 1943, in Canton, a daughter of Glenn and Helen (Bartlett) Taylor. She married Verl Malott on Nov. 12, 1960, in Ipava. He survives.
Also surviving are one son, Rodney Malott of Astoria; one brother, Ron Taylor of Liverpool; and one sister-in-law, Lois Henderson of East Peoria.
She was preceded in death by one son, Eric Malott.
She was a substitute cook at VIT Schools. She also helped Verl on the farm. She loved gardening, baking and sharing at local farmer’s markets.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Matthew Thiner officiating. Interment will be in the Summum Cemetery.
