Bernard McCombs Of Rushville Dies

Bernard McCombs, 82, of Rushville, died Monday afternoon, Dec. 16, 1985, shortly after entering a Rushville doctor’s office.

He was born June 10, 1903 in Lawton, Okla., a son of Arch and Dora Hulett McCombs. He married Mary Dickinson March 20, 1924 in Rushville. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Bernadine) Trimble and Mrs. Wayne (Rosemary) Trimble, both of Rushville; four sons, Herbert of Rushville, Frank of Littleton, Wendell of Roseville and Jim of Mascoutah; 20 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were two infant sons, one daughter and 12 brothers and sisters.

He was a retired farmer.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Roby Funeral Chapel in Rushville with Rev. Wayne Bonser officiating. Burial was in Palm Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the new Medical Arts Building fund in Rushville.
