Jessie Miner Of Adair Dies

Jessie Marie Miner of Adair who had celebrated her 90th birthday on Jan. 7, died at 12:15 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 1985, at her home.

She was born Jan. 7, 1895, east of Adair, a daughter of James E. and Eva C. Carlin Miner.

She is survived by four nieces, Lillian F. Sehy of Beverly Hills, Fla., Sister Edna Miller of Adair, Marguerite M. Norris of Springfield, Ancieville E. Miner of Dallas, Tex.; and several great-nieces and nephews.

She spent her entire life in McDonough County. She taught school at New Salem Country schools and Mound Township School. She was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church of Bushnell.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Meredith F. Miner and another who died in infancy.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Bushnell with Father David Kurt officiating. Burial was in St. Paul’s Cemetery.
