Elmer McFadden Of Adair Dies

Elmer M. McFadden, 63, of Adair, died at 1:45 a.m. Monday, Nov. 3, 1975, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb. He had been in poor health for the past year.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Clugston Chapel in Macomb with Rev. W. Landers Gutel officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

Mr. McFadden was born Dec. 31, 1911, at Table Grove, the son of Sam and Grace Leftridge McFadden. He married Zelpha DeMoss on Aug. 6, 1932. She survives.

He was a resident of the Adair community for most of his life. He was a farmer and a member of the First Baptist Church in Macomb.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Elwyn McFadden; a daughter, Mrs. Gene (Eileen) Nelson of Colchester; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, William McFadden of Macomb and Clarence McFadden of Hamilton; and four sisters, Mrs. Bernice Battin of Adair, Mrs. Lula Downey of Colchester, Mrs. Hazel Butterfield of Plymouth and Mrs. Pauline Woods of the Quad Cities.
