Loa E. Mercer, 69, Hanover, died unexpectedly Saturday night about midnight, of an apparent heart attack.
Mr. Mercer was born Nov. 11, 1895, near Astoria, the son of Alta and Emery Mercer. He was married to Nettie Gossage, who survives.
Other survivors include his mother; seven children; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were a son, his father, and one sister, Mrs. Lucy Hoole.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. yesterday morning at Hanover. Graveside services were held yesterday afternoon at Monmouth with burial in Monmouth Memorial Gardens.
