Mrs. Belle Markley, 92, of Summum, died Saturday afternoon in Culbertson hospital, Rushville, following a three weeks illness.
Born in Woodland township, Nov. 5, 1862, a daughter of William and Rachel (Fike) McClaren, she was married to A. J. Markley, who preceded her in death.
She was the mother of five children, three of whom preceded her in death: Ora Markley, Clark Markley, and Mrs. Alta Walters. Surviving are Seymer Markley of Summum, and Mrs. Bessie Wickert of Peoria. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Markley lived all her life in Woodland township and was the last member of her family.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the Summum Christian church, conducted by Rev. E. E. Catlin of Ipava. Burial in the Summum Cemetery.
