She was born April 23, 1951, in Beardstown, a daughter of George and Georgia “Lorena” Yeager Davis. She married George “Bill” Lucas on Nov. 9, 1969, in Beardstown. He survives.
Also surviving are one son, Terry (and Debbie) Lucas of Rushville; one daughter, Lori Taylor of Rushville; one sister, Virginia Thomas of Beardstown; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, John Yeager, Howard Davis and Donnie Davis; and one sister, Ruby Dober.
She dedicated her life to caring for others, wearing many hats throughout her career from cosmetology to working as a CNA and serving as an activity director in various nursing homes.
A Celebration of Life was held Friday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Pastor Victor Randall officiating. Burial was at Beardstown City Cemetery.
