Linda Bernice Leib, 90, of Milan died at Trinity Hospital in Rock Island on Jan. 22, 2025.
She was born June 25, 1934, in Beardstown, the daughter of Lawson W. Lockard and Geneva E. Snedeker Lockard of Astoria. She married Charles R. Leib on Aug. 12, 1953. He preceded her in death.
She also was preceded in death by two brothers, William (Bill) Lockard of Canton and Don Ring of Pasadena, Calif.
Surviving are four children, Pat and Jim Webb of Enterprise, Ala., Chuck and Becky Leib of Milan, John and Susan Leib of Belleville and Tom and Becky Leib of Aurora; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was a graduate of Astoria High School and briefly attended college at MacMurray in Jacksonville. She did bookkeeping from home for Modern Woodman Insurance Company and later worked many years as a school secretary at the Astoria Junior High and Senior High School. She was an active church participant.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Ben Murray officiating. A visitation will take place one hour before the service on Friday. Burial will be in the Astoria Cemetery.
