VeteranKeith LaFary Dies At Age 50

Keith H. LaFary, 50, of rural Matanza Beach, near Havana, formerly of Lewistown, died at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, 1985, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born July 25, 1935, in Lewistown, a son of Howard and Louise Chambers LaFary. He married Dixie Werry June 28, 1957, in Lewistown. She survives.

Also surviving are his parents of rural Lewistown; two sons, Gregory of Lewistown and Kent at home; one daughter, Mrs. Cathy Ray of Bath; two brothers, Norman of Green Valley and Jack of Lewistown; one sister, Mrs. Joan Miller of South Charleston, Ohio; and four grandchildren.

He was on Caterpillar disability leave after being a foreman at Mapleton. He served in the Air National Guard in Peoria for 16 years and was a member of the Ipava American Legion.

Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. this morning at Henry Memorial Home, Lewistown, with Rev. Paul Park officiating. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lewistown.
