John W. Lane Dies Wednesday

John W. (Jack) Lane, 74, of Moline, died Wednesday afternoon, June 26, 1985, shortly after arrival at Moline Public Hospital.

He was born July 20, 1910, in Ipava. He married Thelma Brown Nov. 26, 1931, in Macomb. She survives.

Other survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Patricia Storbeck of Moline; one son, J. Larry Lane of Crystal Lake; five grandsons; one sister, Harriett of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; and one brother, Russell Lane of Orion.

He was past master of the Masonic Lodge in Ipava. He was a member of Hancock Lodge 120 AF&AM Carthage, First United Methodist Church, Moline, Elks Lodge 1490, Mountain Home, Ark.; and American Association of Retired Persons. He was a former member of Power Squadron at Mountain Home, Ark., and Hampshire Breeders Association.

Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. Saturday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline, with Rev. Leland Walls of the First United Methodist Church, Moline, officiating. Graveside services were held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lewistown, with Ipava Masonic Lodge conducting services.
