Mrs. Effie Lutz Dies On Monday

Mrs. Effie Lutz, 90, of Yardley, Pa., formerly of Astoria, died at her home on Monday, Oct. 20, 1975.

She was born in Kellerton, Iowa, on Apr. 21, 1885, a daughter of James and Alice Van Slike Holmes. She married Charles Lutz in 1906. He died in 1938. She then married Locie Lutz in 1943. He died in 1968.

Surviving are one son, Dr. Earl Lutz of Yardley, Pa.; eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mrs. Alice Oliver of Vermont, and one son.

Mrs. Lutz lived in the Point Pleasant and Astoria areas for 31 years before moving to Yardley several years ago.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight (Wednesday) at the Martin-Hollis Funeral Home in Bushnell.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday afternoon at the Point Pleasant United Methodist Church with Rev. Paul Simpkins officiating. Burial will be in Point Pleasant Cemetery.
