She was born Feb. 12, 1943, in Peoria, a daughter of Harry Edward and Elizabeth Holp Gienow. She married Cecil L. Kalebaugh on Sept. 15, 1962, in Peoria. He preceded her in death on Jan. 6, 1991.
She also was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Stansell; and one brother, Edward “Tony” Gienow.
Surviving are son, Jerry A. Kalebaugh (and Melody) of Rushville; one brother, Albert Gienow (and Margie) of Trivoli; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was a rural mail carrier for many years until retirement. She was serving as a trustee on the Oakland Township Board, and was a member of the Women of the Moose. She volunteered at the Rushville HELP Center and a bear sanctuary in Minnesota.
Cremation has been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held on April 12, 2025, at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville.
