Rosamond Kirkpatrick, 73, of Canton died at 10:12 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, 1985, at Graham Hospital in Canton.
She was born Jan. 19, 1912, in Rushville, the daughter of Robert H. and Ethel (Rittenhouse) Vancil. She married Everett W. Kirkpatrick March 17, 1931, in Blytheville, Ark. He survives.
Also surviving are her mother, of Rushville; two sons, Robert T. Kirkpatrick of Canton, and Gerald Kirkpatrick of Washington, Ill.; one daughter, Mrs. Marsha Newton of rural Canton; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Leo Vancil of Rushville; and one sister, Mrs. Virginia Wilson of Mt. Sterling. She was preceded in death by her father.
Private services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Oaks Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dean Austin officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
