William Clifford Janes, 68, died unexpectedly Sunday, Sept. 5, at his home in Galesburg.
Mr. Janes was born near Ipava, a son of George and Melinda Hopping Janes. He was well-known in the Ipava-Summum area having resided there for many years.
Survivors include the widow, Nancy; one son, Fay Janes; three grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Anna Oliver, Abingdon; one brother, John Janes, Galesburg; a host of other relatives and friends.
He was a member of the Nazarene Church in Galesburg.
Funeral services and burial were held in Galesburg.
