James A. Ingles, 81, of Adair died at 4:10 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 1985, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb. He had been in poor health the past year.
He was born Sept. 11, 1903, in Industry Township, a son of George and Ruth Anstine Ingles. He was married Oct. 10, 1936, to Laverna Coyner in Macomb.
Surviving are one son, James “Jim” Ingles of Table Grove; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Beulah McMillan of Industry, and Mrs. Kenneth (Margaret) Barrett of Rialto, Calif.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Ingles had resided in Industry, Eldorado and New Salem Townships all of his life. A career farmer, he retired three years ago.
He was a member of West Prairie Presbyterian Church and served as a trustee on the church board. He served as a director for Eldorado School Board and was a former member of McDonough County Farm Bureau.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Clugston Chapel in Macomb with Rev. Dan Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Industry Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Thursday at Clugston Chapel. Family visitation will be 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday.
