She was born April 14, 1965, in Crockett, Texas, a daughter of Jack Whitwell (father), Judy Whitwell (stepmother), Caren Manly (mother). She was engaged to Michael Hill of Olathe, Kan. He survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Cady Hammack; stepmother, Judy Whitwell; one sister, Pamela Croan; one stepsister, Tricia Griffith; and two grandchildren, Nolan and Isaac McCombs.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Stephanie McCombs; mother and father; one brother, Kevin Whitwell; and her husband, John Dodd.
She was born in Texas and moved to Illinois as an adult where she spent 30 years raising her family and creating friendships.
Per her wishes, no services will be held.
