She was born May 29, 1936, in Canton, a daughter of Lawrence and Helen Johnson Ball. She married Vernice Harr on Nov. 27, 1954, at Checkrow Church. He preceded her in death on April 19, 2004.
She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Cindy Turk; five brothers, Charles, Donald, Jerry, Kenny and Lyle Ball; and one sister, Lillian Putman.
Surviving are two children, Don (and Teresa) Harr and Jeannie (and John) Beadles, all of Canton; two sisters, Charolette Hill of East Peoria and Eleanor Hahn of Abingdon; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She worked and retired from Graham Hospital in Canton as a Registered Nurse.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sedgwick Funeral Homes and Crematory in Canton, where a visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the services with Rev. Kevin VanTine officiating. Burial will follow the services, and take place in Zion Cemetery in Bybee.
Memorials may be made to Shriner’s Hospital or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
